Looking for Frame pictures

I have a project in mind that I will not be starting on until the springtime, so I can not strip my frame down yet, I am looking for bare frame pictures, I found this one on another site

and it does help but its a little small and I would still like to see some better ones if anybody has some
what I have in mind is taking whats left of my 76 F250 4x4 Hi-Boy and turn it into a bogging/wheeling rig, I want to move the cab, motor, trans + transfer back, bob the rear and posibily narrow the front and rear of the body,
so I want to go from this

to this

Thanks Guys, let me know what you think. Later..Rick

I'd just move the axles forward, convert the front to coils, and dream up some fancy steering.

Try the 4x4 forum, or pirate 4x4 dot com, there are folks there that might be able to point you in the right direction.

I would not imagine a pic is gonna help any though.
I like your idea and can tell you that I have been there, done that, and have the t-shirt!

Have not had that in the stable for years. Was a real nice truck and then it turned into the mud puppy that you see. Now it is nothing more than a frame full of tubes and it no longer wears any sheetmetal other than the hood.

If this type of creation is what you are after, make it simple on yourself, and just pull the engine, yank the bed off, and set the cab where you want it. You do not move the front axle foward, you move everything back. The cab and clip will rest where you tell it to. Once you have the desired look or appearance of the front axle relative to the front wheel wells, you can buckle down the cab, and set the rear axle. select the springs you wish to use and set-up you wheel base cutting off the remaining material in the rear.
Next, chop up the bed to fit. The fit and finish is up to you. SOme guys hack up the bedsides, and stick them on like fiberglass units while others take a little more time.
This is really quick and easy.

Thank You!! that is basically exactly what I have planned and have been talking about, but I keep getting people on other forums telling me . it won't work, its easier to move the axle forward, blah, blah, blah, while all along it seems so simple to me, its about time someone understood what I am thinking about. well thank you very much for the pictures, you have really got me excited about doing this now. I was thinking of the same thing for my highboy. Seems like an easy way to go to me. I decided against it mainly because I need a truck with an 8 ft bed more than I need a rock crawler, and that is all.

I'd like to see a thread on your progress though.

Then git-r-done son!

Lets see if I can find another shot of the front of the frame to give you a better view and a little more eye candy. Take it easy now, dont get too excited, lol

As irony would have it. The new owner of this rig is also named "Rick".

You have made me as " Giddy as a Little School Girl ! " right now, I can not tell you how frustrating it was to have others talking like I was crazy or it was going to be to hard to do it this way when it all seems so simple to me, these pictures are great, I already saved them to my picture file so I can look back on them and get all giddy again when ever I need a fix, I might not be able to wait until spring if you keep this up, if you find anymore pictures or think of anything, Please let me know, thanks man, you are my hero for the day thanks a ton dude...Rick

Right on man. You know more than one of my builds was performed because someone said it could not be done! I like to do things that others may not necessarilly do.
The best of luck to you friend.

Oh you don't frustrate me Double H, I can pretty much tell when you are pulling my chain or not, its all the other nay sayers that chime in thinking they know what they are talking about and saying it can't be done or its going to be hard to do it this way, and here is a man (75F350) that has already done it the exact same way, its just refreshing to find someone that has done it and hear him say it is as easy as I was thinking it should be
