How comparable are these to the COP's from grannatelli motorsports? They have 3 different types of COP's to choose from, which will increase MPG and power. Your price is about the same, I am looking into possibly getting them but want to know if you can use Iridium or performance plugs and a tuner with these? And will those work on a 03' F-350 5.4 2 valve (I thought the 3 valve and 2 valve COP's were different, your numbers all look the same for the 5.4) You have any dyno sheets for these by chance? Thanks for the info. I bought a coil pack from you guys for my 04' SVTF and was pretty inpressed with the MPG increase (I receive 1 MPG increase w/ the screamin demon coil pack)

More COP questions

I am interested in knowing more about your COP's. What makes them better than the MSD's and the ones from Summit racing? Your website doesn't indicate what the boot material is made of...ie high temp silicone, etc. What country makes your COP's...USA, China, etc? Also, why would it cost $19 to ship them to Missouri from Tennessee for gods sake?! Summit will ship theirs from Ohio to me for $11.75. What kind of guarantee comes with your COP's? As you can see, I am very interested in your COP's but I need more technical answers.

I have a 2002 F150 with the 5.4 engine and like so many others on this and other Ford websites, I have a miss when in O/D driving up a slight incline when the RPM's drop below 1500 and no OBDII faults are ever recorded. I am currently running the stock Motorcraft spark plugs along with the EBAY special Global COP's.

Are your COP's guaranteed to fix this problem? I will look forward to your response.

Thanks,

Focusgm

Im gonna take a no response as you cant back your product up??? Do you use the stock style spring connector or do you use something similar to this 2 Valve HIGH OUTPUT Coil On Plug Connectors (2 Valve) [28-1697S] - $89.95 : Lightning Force Performance ?

Superduty,

Are you having engine miss problems as well? I am very disappointed that they haven't responded to our questions about the SOS COP's. I love my 02 F150, but if I cannot fix this miss, I will be trading it next summer. It is my opinion that fixing this problem on late model Ford trucks should be a no brainer for the manufacturers unless it is an inferior design.

Please keep us informed of any new info you find out about this problem and the potential fixes, and I will try to do the same.

Thanks,

Focusgm

I've seen many times where the miss is from the connector / boot and not the coil. I do not have a miss on mine but am about to do a tune up and am interested in getting some better coils or connectors / boots (it's advised to replace the boots when doing tune ups) I would like to know more about the coils to find out if fuel economy is gained also, and what makes their coils better than stock such as the what the boot is made out of and the type of connectors they use. Can I use aftermarket plugs and is it safe with a tune? I am debating on using Iridium plugs.

Sorry for the delay in responding.

Our SOS coils are designed for daily performance driving. We use the same technology we use in our DUI Distributors. That is, our coils' voltage do not drop under load(the acceleration phase.)

You can use Iridium or performance plugs. We prefer to use a plug that you can open up the gaps to .065". We use Autolite platinum plugs on our test vehicles because they are very good about maintaining the wider gaps we recommend.

Sorry for the delay in responding.

We use a higher quality spring that is tailored for the application. We have found no need to utilized a solid tube style connector. Our spring connector has improved conductivity. Combined with our special coil windings design, a "zero resistance" connector is not necessary.

More Questions

Thanks for the info. Where are your coils made..China, Usa? What is the boot material made out of...silicone, etc? What makes them different from the Motorcraft and MSD coils? How much to ship a set to central Missouri?

Our SOS Coils use a high temperature silicone, much better than oem. We also use a high temperature plastic around the coil itself, protecting the windings from engine heat.

And yes, you can use any Tuner in combination with the SOS Coils.

OEM coils only produce 26,000 volts under load(accelerating), while the SOS coils produce over 37,000 volts under load. That's a significant 11,000 more volts per cylinder UNDER LOAD! This "under load" feature is what allows you to open up your plug gaps to .065", burning your fuel much better.
