Thanks for the compliments guys!
It has a 2.3 turbo engine and ecu out of an 87 Thunderbird. The head has been ported and polished. New oversize stainless steel vales, MFS cam, gutted and rotated upper intake, ported lower intake, front mount intercooled, modified garrett T3 turbo with s trim compressor wheel and stage 2 exhaust turbine and housing, bob's log header, cold air intake.
Had to take a break there, forgot how much I did to this thing! lol
As far as suspension goes, I have a Granatelli tubular K-member, tubular A arms, flaming river manual steering rack, coil over strut set up, Maximum Motorsports caster/camber plates and full length sub frame connectors. Swapped the auto trans out for a Borg Warner 5 speed and a FMS aluminum drive shaft.
I still need to swap the rear end out. I have the rear from that same T/C that's an 8.8 with 3.55 gears and track-lock. Plus, it has disk brakes too! That will get put in there with new control arms, bushings, etc.
Heres a link to my PhotoBucket if anyone wants to check out more pics...

It is a quick little car! I have already beat all the stock GT 5.0's in town, and some of the modified ones too!
Purple People Eater will be getting some work this spring. Thinking a 6" lift from JBG, and new rims/tires. Also swapping a freshly rebuilt 5.0 in her and going to convert to manual transmission.

Very cool car! I love the Turbo 2.3L! It's not just another 5.0L Fox body.
It sounds like you've put a massive amount of work into your Stang.

The best part is when I get to pop the hood and show them I have more horses with 1/2 the cylinders lol!
It was a bit of work. Started working on it early spring, and was still able to drive it that fall, about a month or so before the snow hit. But I was out there working on it every spare minute I had too. All in all I'm pretty happy with it. I hope to do more driving than working on it this summer!

The camaro and 5.0L drivers getting their ego's bruised by the 4 banger! Priceless!
You do some nice work! And you do it fast! I've been working on my junk almost 4 years now and still there's no end in site.

Thats pretty cool Man. I like stuff like that. I always thoght the side rear window on those was nifty. That 25 mph speed limit sign behind it is funny.

If your talking about that truck in your sig, that looks like it would be quite the undertaking! I got kinda lucky with mine. It was originally a southern car. No real rust to speak of so that cut down on the body work issues.
Once you get that truck of yours up and running, that will be an amazing little ride! I've always had a soft spot for mid 50's F series trucks. Keep on rollin with it!
