Recon Customer Service

Anyone had to deal with Recon Accessories customer service? I have been trying to get my 3rd brake light replaced since I bought it. The cargo LEDs are all malfunctioning. I have sent about 5 emails to them and phone calls went unanswered. I did receive one reply that requested pictures to be sent. I sent the pictures right away and never heard back. I have their mirror LEDs and smoked cab lights and have no issues with them.

Their customer service is pretty much non-existant.

I have filed a complaint with the BBB in hopes that it will light a fire under someone's rear end.

If you have also experienced horrible customer service please post up.

Here is a link to the BBB's profile for them which they have an "F" rating. You can file a complaint on this page as well.

Apparently you're not the only one to have problems here on the boards:

I know I've read a few posts a while back about their horrible customer service. I am hoping to get more people to file complaints with the BBB. I'm surprised he got a reply at all, of course then I see that their replies were to sell him more parts.

I have read the same on this forum several times, and made a decision to avoid the hassle by simply not buying their stuff until they change the management .

Thanks for the heads up. I want mirror and cab lenses for my 08 mirrors/cab lights. IMO a product is only as good as its customer service.

Pictures? They wanted pictures? Must be because as a customer, ya know; you wouldn't have a clue what an inop light looks like? Jeeez.

yup their customer service SUCKS. I bought a mini LED bar - goes below the tailgate. I ordered smoke- they sent clear. They basically wanted me to prove they sent the wrong one. Then they had me ship it back ON MY DIME to have them re-send the correct one.

i'd have to email them 2 or 3 times to get responses. Overall, it took over a month to get me the right part and cost more with me paying shipping back, etc.

I'll NEVER buy anything else ReCon, ever again.

Guys,

They have had their problems in the past with poor CS, however they have gotten much better. All you have to do is ask to speak with Heath, and he will be more than happy to help you. Pick up the phone, and ask to speak with him. I know first hand, because I like some of you had issues, and he helped me big time. Trust me and try it. Forget 180 day warranty nonsense.

If you paid with a credit card, contact the CC company and tell them. I have had 3 incidents where products were not as they should be and the CC co, has held payment, including one for $2000.00. That company "saw the light" and corrected the issue very quickly.
