Help, my poor truck runs like it has a rag stuffed in the throttle body. It has almost sea
level tuning and I'm here in Albuquerque,NM
where it is 5000ft. elevation. very sluggish acc.
,nearly have to floor it for decent takeoff. Meanwhile everyone is zipping around me with their finger in the air,any tips, suggestions?HHHHHEEEEEEELLLLLLPPPP!!!

Unfortunately their is probably nothing wrong with your truck. Late models (like yours) correct for pressure changes automatically by changing fuel injection settings, ignition timing etc... Unless their is something wrong with your truck (like an oxygen sensor that needs to be replaced) then it is already "tuned" for optimal performance at any given altitude. If something like the oxygen sensor was bad it should show up as a warning light on your dash. Probably your truck is just suffering from "small motor in big truck at 1 mile high" syndrome. The surest fix is to sell it and get something with a bigger engine. If your going to stay at 5000 feet plus you should consider a turbocharged vehicle. They don't suffer from air starvation like conventionally aspirated engines do.

Actually,I think the computer is learning to deal
with it now . I've been here about a week and
it seems to be a little better in the acceleration
dept. I reset the comp. a day ago and that helped even more,,,,thanks,,,,,,65
