The welcome message sent me here, so here I am.

Bought a 95 4x4 van on eBay in Tennessee with cancer and drove it out to California. We'll see if I can save her

Bought my first Diesel, a 6.4L, '08, 250. It has been good, but I got stuck in the mud, very deep around Christmas, I cleaned her off as much as I could when I finally got home, but now I am noticing a roar in my wheels and some steering wobble when turning right and breaking. Then today the check engine light came on and the trans feels like it is slipping. I fear that my bearing/hub is going in the front and that has caused my trans to start failing.

Good evening darkAcolyte. Wow! Yeah, I'm sure hitting that steering wheel must have been some kind of painful all right. I was riding shotgun with a buddy of mine back in 76 when he lost the steering in his car. Well, to make a long story short, I wasn't wearing a seatbelt and ended up hitting the dash board with the left side of my ribcage. I got a ruptured spleen and a cracked rib out of that one! LOL. So I can sure sympathize with you here. Aaanyway, what kind of issues are you having with your Explorer?

My Ranger didn't have a transfer case motor on it when I first bought the truck. I was able to drive it just fine but you just can't shift it into 4 wheel drive without it. I bought a motor off of ebay and now my 4 wheel drive is working mighty fine.

New 2016 F250 Crew Cab Long Bed owner from NJ. Look forward to being an active member and learning from you long time Ford owners since this is my first Ford. My prior truck was a 1500 Ram.

Welcome aboard Troy. To be honest I'm still fairly new to the site here myself. I've gotten some good info though when I needed it concerning my Ranger. If you've got questions then I'm sure there will be many out here that will be able to help out o.k.
