Hello, Chuck Here,,,, I purchased a 2012 F 250 on 7/17/15...Gas 6.2 for pulling a 30 foot camper... Hopefully a Future Snow Bird.

it has 136,000 miles and was a Fleet/Lease truck. extra Clean... I hope it serves me well. First automatic transmission in about 40 years... I hope I can get use to it.
a computer controlled 6 speed.... computers are taking over all the FUN stuff

Hi everyone. I'm Mike. I have a 1996 F150 with a 5.8 in it that came from Virginia. I also drive a 1997 Mustang GT convertible in the nice weather. I have an issue with the F150 that I'm hoping I can get help with.

Smile New to FTE

Hi All,
Current truck is a 2010 F250 supercab long bed with 5.4. It pulls the horse trailer and the Travel trailer (32') great except it does not have the "Stroke's" hill pulling power. I've had 97 F250, 03 Stroke and countless 150's and broncos. I am hoping to get some tips on how to increase mileage while maintaining performance. I did not think the 5.4 would be a workhorse, but it is proving to be a solid performer.

Hi Chuck, welcome aboard.
I'll be interested in hearing how you 6.2 handles the hills. I have the 5.4 and it pulls fine, but hills challenge it compared to my old power stroke. I am thinking about going to the 6.2.

Alexandra, thank you for your service and welcome to FTE.

Chuck, welcome to FTE and welcome to the world of Ford. Automatic trannys are becoming rare - even in semi tractors.

Mike, welcome to FTE. I hope you get your issue resolved.

Stev'll welcome to FTE. I love those old Power Strokes.

Monday (7-20) I take delivery on the 30 foot Camper Trailer.... so I will also SEE how it does with hills... 7,000 pounds...

paperwork said the truck should do it ,,, with power to spare.

Hi everyone. New to the forum. Ive lurked around over the years. I have an 05 F150 SC and am picking up a 79 F150 this week. Really excited about that. 05 has 5.4, about 140k. Had a small lift and 35s that i removed when kid was born. Now, just on 33s. Has an edge tuner, dual exhaust i ran, some other odds and ends. Just waiting for timing chain to go...

The 79 will be the play truck. Has a 400 now but planning to swap 460 in and 1 ton axles. Runs now and plan to drive while acquiring parts for rebuild. Ive already found so much info here. Cant wait to get some pics up and start playing.

Long time Ford Truck man...owned an 89 F350 and now have a 2000 F250 with a 7.3. Been lurking here gleaming info as I needed after buying the Powerstroke and the site has been helpful. Saw that RiffRaff Performance was doing an event in my backyard and figured now was as good a time as any to finally join...

Hi, just signed up today. I found this site when my 1990 f150 that I have had for a few years started giving me problems. Have not found an answer yet, but have not seen anyone with the same problem. If I understand how this site works I have to post a few times before I ask a question. Am I right or am I missing something.

Thanks Terry

Newbie

Hi, I have a 2000 Allegro Bay motorhome purchased in 2008 when I retired. I do about 5k/year with 1 big trip and a few weeks at the beach here in San Diego. I do a little DIY so I will need some suggestions from time to time.
