Welcome to everyone.
So true. Just be careful, it's easy to become addicted to this place.
What motor? That does sound kind of low. I've hauled much more weight than that with a 250 before.
Why on earth do you want someone to wake you up? Sounds like you've got it pretty good.
Quite a difference in those 2. Keep us updated on how it's working for you.
Hi Everyone!
I am a new user to the forum. I am currently in search of a tow vehicle for our new travel trailer. We came across a 2003 F250 with a 4.10 rear and was surprised that it could only tow a max of 8400lbs. Our trailer's max weight is 7550lbs which puts us at 90% of our max weight. Any suggestions would be appreicated.
Thanks,
Rick

Hi Folks,
Been driving and modifying an '07 Ranger 4X4 for 2 years - ran out of things to do without a major change. Got the Super Duty bug a few weeks ago - wife wants to spend entire weekends on the beach that we frequent by day with the Ranger. Super Duty + slide in camper + wheels and tires = happy wife! Wake me up... wake me up!
Going to test drive an '09 extended cab and a crew cab on Saturday with the wife. I'll update after the test...

I got out 20 years after you did, so I guess I still have a long way to go before I can make any retirement plans. Right now I just need to get the kid out of college.

Another newbie!
Hey everyone, been lurking for the last couple of weeks since I bought my F250, wanted to say that I like the site very much, and that there are some cool folks here.
I'm sure that I'll spend the most technical time at the old body style forums, but I've found a lot of information here that has been very useful! Thanks!
My beast is a '97 F250 HD with 202,800 miles on her 5.8L / E40D. I'm retiring her from work, and she should live a leisurely life from here on out.
I've had many Fords in my 27 years of driving, and I've never had one strand me yet. Great machines if you take care of them.
(I have been hooked on the F250 HD's ever since my dad bought a new beautiful black 1985 F250 with the heavy suspension, and a carbureted 460 / 4spd. As a kid, I showed many of my peers just how slow daddy's BMW really was... What a ride.)

Should have joined before
Howdy Y'all. I now have two super duty's. One 1968 F750 Structural Fire Engine and one 1985 F350 Brush Truck. (and a little Ranger) Love'em all though nothing says get the hell out of the way like a blast from the 750's air horn. I've posted piccies if anybody wants to see them. I'll post more when I get the chance. I'm adding a class A foam system to Junebug, (F750) so she'll be in service for a few more years. So far, so good.

New here
Howdy! I am new to the board. I have stepped over the fence into a whole different pasture. This is the first truck I have owned larger than the F150, or Chevy 1500. And the first diesel too!
Brand new 2008 F250 SuperDuty XLT super cab 6.4 Diesel 2x4.
I don't know what I got myself into, but I like it so far
Anyway, hope to do a lot of reading over here!

Hey all, Hailing form Springfield, MO here. I've been lurking on the boards for about a year.. Had a 1992 Extended Cab 4x4 351 5-speed that I used as a tow rig for my jeep for a while... Recently traded it in on a 2003 4x4 SD Crew Lariat Powerstroke... It is an auto, but I'm learning to live with it. Can't believe I've been missing out on all that diesel power these years... My 92 made it all the way out to Moab, UT and back pulling my Jeep on a 16ft flatbed, it did great, but 5 mph up to the Eisenhower Tunnel west of Denver on hwy 70 took forever.. but she pulled it, however it was hammer down to the floor all the way from Kansas City to Moab.
Can't wait to try those mountains out with the 7.3; I did pull my camper with it 29ft bumper pull.. last weekend, it weighs 7880lbs and it pull it like it was small peanuts. My jeep and trailer weigh less than that, so I'm thinking I'll make much better time this year.
Look forward to being on the forums more and pickin' everyone brains. Thanks for the wealth of info on here...
