How's everyone doing? Introducing myself for the first time. Call me Z, I don't own Fords but I do work on them almost everyday. In the military currently deployed, and I have a couple of 06 to 09 F150s, F250s to F350s super duty Diesels and one 03 V8 f250 gasoline. Not much experience but know and learning more and more each day. Been a mechanic and die hard enthus. of the car world since 98 and actually went out and got my feet really wet in 2003. Did a couple years of school, became a private mechanic, became part of 2 racing teams as a mechanic/fueler (team tiger racing's 03 BMW M3 and NoHotwire's Car N Driver 350z), now a special mechanic in the military. Hope I will learn and continue to gain knowledge. Thank you.

New to this site but have been driving a 250 since Aug of 07'. First, a 08 F250 6.4 ex cab long bed and, since Nov 09', a 10' 250 6.4 4dr manual long bed. Love the truck, engine and space! Have yet to put any aftermarket gizmo's on it but have been looking hard at some banks hardware. I am currently deployed and am looking forward to getting back into the truck. Already have a spray in bedliner and put some good miles on it. So far, it's averaged 18-20mpg on the highway and around 12-15 in the city. Still breaking it in since it only has 14,700 miles on it. Can't wait to get home and put some more great miles on it. Any suggestions on mpg improvements I am open to them! Thanks!

Hello! I recently purchased my first Ford truck on Aug. 29 and after finding some good information on this site I decided to join and become part of the community here!! I bought a 1974 Ford F100 from my landlord for $800, it wasn't running so I rebuilt the carb, put a new fuel pump in and installed a new electronic ignition. Needless to say my landlord was very surprised when I drove it out of his yard, I think he was a little disappointed to sell it. It's not in perfect shape but is pretty straight and has little rust for a truck that has been around since 74 and lived in MN the past 10 years. I am very excited about this truck.
The second day I had the truck I found a set of 20in. chrome rims that are all pitted and nasty, I picked em up for $150 with the tires!! The back two bolt right up but I had to bring the front two to the machine shop to get the center bored a little. The rims sort of look a little ridiculous but are much more reliable then what was on the truck when I got it, and for $150 I could not pass them up.
Well its good to be a part of this community and hope I can contribute to it as well!!
Here are some picks of my truck....
This is a dark pic, has the rims on the back, bad side of the truck.
Here is a pic of what it looked like when I drove it into my yard, the good side
Thanks!
Brandon

Hello
I found my way here out of pure necessity. I am stranded and will need some expert advice before I take my tuck into a local shop. That is if I can find a reputable one. Otherwise, I'm SOL.
So Hello to all and I hope I can get some help here in order to roll down the road once again.
Thanks,
Jenny

Bought my first Ford truck a month ago and have been reading on here trying to figure it out after years of Chevrolets. 1995 F250, extended cab, long bed, 2WD, auto - and the main reason I wound up with it, the 460. Bought it with less than 93K on it and in great shape. Been driving it everywhere and have put about 1000 miles on it, which is usually 3 months for me. 10-12 mpg, but I love that big block.

Greetings All...Just ordered a 2011 F-250 SuperDuty Lariat last Tues. Dealer say about 8-10 weeks. This will be my 4th P/U, second Ford. Previously had a '87 GMC S-10, '98 Chevy Silverado 2500 & a 2000 Ford Sport Trac. Hey, does the Sport Trac count?.
Currently driving a '09 Wrangler Rubicon, but the Mrs and I are looking to haul a trailer and the Rubi just won't cut it. I waited for the Chevy/GMC 2500 HD's to show up before deciding, the Ford won hands down. See you in the Forum...
