wiper blades

It's that time of year to get new wiper blades. I have the piaa's 22" and they work great but need replacement. I would like to use the largest blade that will work. Does anyone use 24" blades? If so how well do they work? My only concerns are that 1; it would be too hard on the wiper motor and 2; there will be dry spots from the ends.

I haven't gone to 24 inch blades yet but plan to very soon. There's been a lot of posts on here in the past about going to 24 inch blades. I'd recommend doing a search and you'll probably get all the information you want.

I've got them 24" neoforms on there... absolutely love them. The wiper may ding the weather stripping on the driver side a bit, makes a little noise. But on a positive note, they are just simply the best there ever was!

I have Bosch ICON 24" blades on. They work great. The only problem I've had is when you lift the passenger side blade to wash the window the end of the blade hits the radio antenna and it knocked the little plastic cap off of the end of the blade.

I forgot about that... my antennae broke off in a carwash. So beware when raising them!

I've got the 24" Bosch Icons and like them. However both of the right hand plastic end caps have come off mine (one cap off each wiper), so I think that may just be a problem with the blades themselves and not the fact that they hit the antenna.

I'm probably going to try the Michelin blades instead this time to try to avoid the caps coming off again.

I have 24" rain x blades (the cheap ones not the latitude). no problem with them at all, should be the standard size with these trucks (at least a 22 not the 20s).

I put Bosch Icons on my truck as well. I put a 24" on the driver's side and 22" on the passenger's side. I put 22" on the passenger side after taking a few measurements and decided that 22" would have less clearance/wiping issues vs. 24".

Bosch Icon's on my truck as well. If you have an Advance Auto Parts nearby they had a sale last week B1G1 free Bosch wiper blades. Not sure if it's still going on or not.

I just checked and the Buy 1 get 1 sale is going until Nov 1st here. You have to mail in a rebate though, and I always forget to do those.

That's why I always do it soon as I get home. If I don't I'll never remember to send it off.

I'm a big fan of the Bosch Icons. Big difference between those and the worn out factory ones that were on there. Plus the design helps keep ice, leaves, pine needles, etc out of the bracket. I went with 24' for driver side and 22' for passenger based on someone's recoomendation here and it worked out fine. Some people thought that the 24 on the passenger side didn't touch the far end of the windshield completely.

I have that issue also. The blade has to be traveling up almost 1/3 of up travel before properly engaging the whole blade length of the windshield. Will do the 22" next on the passenger side.
