Y-Block/Toyota Power Steering Pump?

I am installing the Toyota power steering box on my straight axle '55 truck with a 292 y-block. What pump is most often used? Are brackets modified originals, fabricated from scratch or after market?

I used the original Eaton pump that came on Y-blocks. I got mine on e-bay. Several pictures in my gallery.

Easiest is to use the pump and brackets originally used on your engine, then no mods needed.

We did the exact same thing for a customer. We used a Jeep unit. The type that is self contained. We made a couple of brackets and it worked great. Otherwise, yes, use an original type. There are brackets available through Concoursparts.com. They have brackets, and I think pumps too.

I would really like to see pictures of this setup and any write-up info.

Thanks to those who responded. I was hoping to see more of a variety of solutions. It looks like I will go scavaging salvage yards for some original brakets and pump.
