tech help needed
OK. I have a 94 F 350 with a 460 gas engine that needs rebuilt or replaced. I just bought an older (70,s I think) 460 that has been completely rebuilt. The casting number on the block is C9VE B. The number on the heads is C8VE E. What year and model are the block and heads? And more importantly, will all of the accessories, intake manifold etc.etc.etc. bolt up to this earlier block and heads? I live in California, so I need to pass smog as well.
P.S. The intake runners in these heads are HUGE.
Thanks,
Dany

Your heads have are 1968 (C8) and your block is a 1969 (C9). EFI heads and intakes will not work with carb heads or manifolds. So, no your EFI manifold will not work with your replacement heads. You need to be aware that a 1969 block was a 10.5 to 1 compression engine and your '94 is closer to 9 to 1. That means premium fuel only.
