Those 6.4's are bad!!!

Just wanted to let you guys know that those have some serious power. Today a guy in a 6.4 with a spartan tune and who knows what else wanted to race me and kick my modded 1996 460 butt. He told be he was making 600 hp and 1100 ft lbs of torque..We raced twice and he smoked me bad..You guys might even know him his name is dale and he lives in the up of michigan and owns a painting business...I have never got beaten by another truck untill now.

I know Dale. Helped him set up his gauges and config file on his unit earlier this evening. These trucks really have the power with the Spartan tunes!!!!!!!

Actually there are a few people that have it. But you are right the actual complete you can get today or wait till monday after the final tweaks. I have a feeling Matt will play with even after it's been fully released!

Mick,
Seems you are quite knowledgeble on the 08 F250 Diesel. I just bought an 08 F250 Harley Davidson Diesel in Houston and am shipping it to Honduras. We do not have low sulfur diesel in Honduras, what can I modify to my truck to make it work well with High Sulfur Diesel. As I understand, USA Diesel as around 50ppm Sulfur, in Honduras we have 5000 Ppm.

Thanks for the help, George

Dont quote me but I think all you have to do is get rid of the DPF.... With a tune of course. The high sulphur plugs the DPF too fast

It seems taking off the DPF is what everybody is recommending, wanted to find out if there is anything else I need to do? Since I am modifying might as well modify to get more power as well.

with the DPF dlete with the tune and a CIA you can put 500 + ponies on the ground and have a reliable daily driver that you can tow small amounts with. If you want to pull more and be totally safe you detune it to a smaller HP tune or even go back to stock HP rating. SCT and Spartan give you three tunes at a time so it's your choice on what you want to run

hope that helps

08250Honduras, received your voicemail and email today. We will email you back shortly with all the info you'll need.

Removal of the DPF/DOC will be neccessary, along with the programming to do so. Electronic disablement of the EGR system (through the tuning) will be required also. With these systems removed/disabled, running the high sulpher fuel will not be a problem.
