Down by the river.........

There where I`ve been working the last 4 days. We had to clean out an area on the water`s edge, fill it with rocks where precast concrete slabs will be placed as a ramp for the disabled`s fishing spot.
Another Meewasin Valley Authority project.

Sounds like a great project. We have a fishing area for disabled anglers in Mb., at Bird's Hill I understand.

Fishing is a great pastime and should be accessible to all.

We`re near a small dam and the sound of the rushing water is kind of cool.

I`m at my usual rate of $85 an hour but that all changes when I start hauling using both the Bobcat and the tandem.
The company doing the river bed excavating is charging $110 an hour for (mostly sitting/waiting there) their Bobcat mini excavator..........

The excavators always charge a little more, must be to the higher cost of the equipment?

Sounds like a cool project though, I would like to see more and more of those around here, they are good projects.
