BAH my mother LOANED me the $2500 for my truck WITH INTEREST! ive paid every damned cent of gas and insurance ok i lied my dad filled er up when he used it for the day while i was at work... i live in a crappy lil town of 3500ish people and theres trucks like that runnin round that i have yet to see dirty...but there is a nice 78ish bronc wit 38" boggers cut-out wheel wells thats pretty damn beasty but im damn proud of my lil truck sure it may not be the pick of the litter but it gets further than any other truck here...sept that bronc haha...hopefully this summer im goin to turn my lil d/d slash weekend warrior truck into a project mudder ON MY DIME

HA i got my truck stuck and temporarily ****ed up in a coulee the other day any my mom wouldnt even come pull me out!

03 im not sure.... I think its went solid axle in 02.... i could be way wrong though....

Take a look and see, if it the axle has pivot point in it, then its a ttb...
if it looks like the axle wont pivot anywhere then its a solid axle...

The F-150 never had a solid axle in the 2000s?

Statement, The 1/2 ton fords have not had a straight axle under a truck since 1979.
The 02 F150 does not have a TTB, it is a full blown Ifs system complete with a-arms and the whole enchilada.

Yeah all the new F-150s have a nifty IFS up front thats a PITA to lift and such. I don't know when they switched from a TTB to the IFS though, maybe in 1997 with the body style change?

Joel P,take a look at your front axle,if it basically looks like a piece of pipe, with a big bulge off center ,youve got a solid axle! anything that looks more complicated or high tech,will be some kind of independent front axle!
