Does anyone know how i would go about lifting my 69 f250 2wd. i have heard about the autofab lift, but thats VERY expensive. drop i-beam brackets maybe?
if you find a shop that can do alignments on these truck just get longer springs, or a spacer for the spring then get it alinged and you have a small lift, but i would limit it to a few inches.
i didnt get a pic of it but at the same show there was a red 70 that had a big nut between the i beam and lower coil bucket and the owner said he just put it in there and had an alinment done and didnt have any problems.... all depends on how much lift you want. also some people clame you can flip the ibeams over and get lift with out longer springs...
is that the blue one with the cobra jet motor in it?
Flipping the axle with drastically change the Caster and camber and possible make it dangois to drive, Plus it put major strain on the other connected parts.

i have seen people do it but i dont know that i would do it, because i have the same feelings about it that you do, just giving all options that i know of...
what they do is cut the king pin end of the beam off, flip the beam over and re weld the end back on. this fixes the camber problem. they also plate in the beam so it is stronger them the stock beam. not something i would do but it is done.
Camber and caster has to be set very precisely, just a 1/10 of a deg can really mess things up. On Older beam styles, many shops wont correct, But a few, especily heavy truck shop heat the beams up witha rosebud and them make the adjustment. But even if you get it back in ajustment you still be useing beams that arnt designed to be used that way
