i had an alarm on my truck and the radio still got jacked, i dont think it slowed them down, it might slow down someone from stealing the whole truck, cuz mine had an ignition cut out, but still it sucked 600 bucks for a loud noise

The device on my truck disables the starting circuit. Everything but the starter is functional w/o the key, and you can even pull the key back out once the truck is started. It looks more like a connector than a key. 2004 was the last model year I have seen the device on any Ford.
Just wondering how similar it is to the ravelco device.

Just an update -

Neighbor got his truck back on Saturday.

South Bay Ford did a nice job on it.

I don't know - looks the same to me. Better, actually - new dash, new stereo etc.

It might not feel the same to him since it's been thieved, but he was glad to get it back.
