What type of motor are you working on? What year? Is it positive(6volt) or a negative(12volt) ground system?

got the spark issue fixed, now more fuel problems

I replaced the fuel pump a couple weeks ago, just replaced dist, cap, rotor, now am getting spark. There is a leak in the carb, hard to tell where it is coming from exactly, looks like at the seam between throttle body and base. I put a rebuild kit in the carb two months ago because of a leak at the accelerator plunger.

I have read other posts about doubling up the gasket, which I will do first.

My main question is, is there another carb that will work on the 1950 226ci motor? The one on it is the original, which are hard to get. Any new or other years single carbs work on these engines??

Is this a Holley with power valve? If it is like the 2-bbls used with the V8's, there shouldn't be any gas in the chamber under the power valve. If there is, it means the power valve is ruptured.
