rebuild damage estimate advice

well, i had my 460 rebuilt, new heads, (c9Ve), roller rockers, 2.25 intake valves, new hardened guided pushrods, lifters, new pistons, bearings. kept the Comp 280 cam.

did the breakin week before last, and the first drive this last weekend..
and on sunday got ping, ping, clank, sieze..

off come the heads and #1 intake is broken off, turned sideways in the head, jammed up back in the bowl. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/a...1&d=1221012168

well, well.. look at the valves, every intake has an off center curve mark.. yep, and every piston has a new 'expanded' relief area where the piston and intake have met each other repeatedly..

now, looking at the head again, the intake valve retainers have gouges from the rockers..

so, what is NOT damaged (needing to be replaced)..

the intake VALVES, Rockers, (pushrods?) lifters?, retainers.
what about the pistons? these were stock dish. each has a near 1/4in gouge above the relief (2.25 -2.08 valve difference).
connecting rods?
did this mess up the cam?

as a side note, when they did the assembly and post build test, they only had 5/16 pushrods in the 3/8 guideplate slots.. and bent TWO hardened pushrods, before moving to the 3/8 version, which 'worked ok', I saw it spinning in the test stand.

how about the 8 intake pushrods?

thanks.. do NOT want to pull this engine again.

Sam
