Ours go on top of the foot, some like mine are built in and some are external. They don't have as much flex.

Another rainy day in east TN, makes it a little hard to make and lay asphalt in the rain but its nice to see a green yard.
I have always wore Justin boots for years to work in, I just recently had to start wearing steel toes I tried the Hytest but settled with the Justins again. I have Ariats as dress boots they feel alright but the work boots would melt at work.

The Worlds First Hybrid Motorcycle. These should sell like hotcakes with todays fuel prices. I just can't eat enough to power even a small one though. Damnit!!

Sorry. What I meant to say was it must be an "older than me people" thing.
So basically you just wear the sole off the right one

Speaking of work. What do y'all like for workboots?
I've run the gambit from el'cheapo's to the high end Wolverine and Red Wings. The last two pairs I've bought are from a little Chicago company called Florsheim. They are are stiff as anything to break in, but once done they are the most durable and comfortable boots I've owned. Plus they come in gigantor sizes so my tiny little 13EEE feet are easy to size.

Red Wing metatarsals here. They've saved my feet a couple of times and their comfortable. Also long lasting. My employer pays for half of our boots, one pair per year. I work around hot (1200* and up) and heavy steel all day long.
