Very cool! I use to drive an s-10, I think you'll be happy with how the chassis holds up, stopped well and turned sharp

Going Slow-

I have an S10 under my daily driver (a 49 Chebby pickup) and I'm happy with it.

For your exhaust consider the Magnaflow 2-in and 2-out muffler or the 1-in/2 out. This solves the problem of the side mounted gas tank. Very nice sound also. Looks like you are channeling it over the frame to get it low. I assume you will raise the floor in the bed? Looking good!

Steve, also in the middle of doing a S10 swap. Are you going to use running boards, if so you better check for road clearance. I started the same way but ended up welding 3" tube on top of the frame rail under the cab to get more clearance, I think I should have about 5-6 under the front of the running board when finished. Now in the process of grafting the original frame rail to the front so I can mount the front bumper.

those S-10 frames do have a pretty good "Z" behind the front suspension. Good for gettin low. My 97 S-10 was one of my favorite daily's. Great little truck. Easy to drive.

from the looks of it you cut the whole floor out? or was it just rusted and your going to fab up a new floor. The floor of my 49 is in great shape, and i would like to avoid cutting it up as much as possible. Also what wheel base are you using? I have read that the only thing that will really work would be the s10 long bed. And what year frame is that?
