Bought a 1956 F800 and I learned something

Plans for the half a f800:
I need the hood scoop for the f100 I race, so I may even use the whole hood.
It has the ORIGINAL headlights, you say so what! I have offered rewards for the original headlights in the past with no responses. The ones I'm talking about have a logo in the middle that says 12V and at the bottom it says FoMoCo. These lights were ONLY used on production vehicles 1956 and 1957 as in 58 they went to the quad light system and when they went back to single system in 61 the design changed. So you tell me for my restored 56 bigwindow where I couldve found a nicer pair. All the T-bird guys with their 100 point rersto jobs want these. I estimate they are worth $500.00 for the pair.
There are very few trucks out there that are correct for everyone to see and as nice of a truck as this f800 was it will make my f100 just that much nicer and correct. Heck even Bob C with the sweet meadow green 56 that was inside at the supernats only had ONE original light.
It has the 5 speed trans DIR direct drive and I always wanted one in my F600
It has custom cab trim, both visors, dome light, door handle escuhions, custom cab seat (there is a difference) and many other doo dads.
So yes it will be used but it will be used no more, as I have no more room with 7 yes 7 1956 fords here.
bump bump bump another one bites the dust yea!

My apologies guys. I was 2 1/2 hours from home and saw the first advertising signs for the place. It was at that moment that I realized I had forgotten to pick up the camera case as I walked out the door this morning.
I will go back my it the 23rd of next month. I will try to remember it then.

if you were closer Id tell you to come and take them off and they are yours. They really are not that great, they have rust and the bottom drivers side we had to bend in to fit it on the trailer.
And yes they (the headlights) have to work to worth big money ( I forgot who asked and my computer is so slow I'm not going back to see)

yep cut it up, make it into a convertiable, dip it in chrome, paint it pink, put a chevy motor in it, pour acid on it
He can do what he wants, but that don't me we can express our opinions on a public forum where he posted, and call it a waste of a fine big old girl.
Today I actually took my 1969 Mack B69 out and got just as many looks and waves as any of my Ford half tons would get.

only in a car show at night, lol. Kevin, considering the overall situation, I can't fault ya. Besides, ever think about how many old coupes and mercs have been scrapped just for a spare roof piece for a top chop?

What some ppl don't know is...Ford had assembly line problems with the new 1957 models. They were not introduced till late in January 1957.
Meanwhile, Ford continued production on 1956's almost to the end of the year, so there's a possible reason why your truck has variations.
The body maker could have also made the changes.
The late 1948/56 parts catalog (printed in 1964) shows 1957/60 frame parts numbers for some 1956 trucks.
btw: Some late 1956 F Series trucks were titled as 1957's!

Is that why they have hydraulic clutches? And Ford didn't come up with a suitable mechanical linkage for suspended pedals until '61? I've also thought the same thing about the stamped steel spring shackle brackets ... the short tailpipes ... I'd love to hear more details on this, if you know them.
