when my 2001 ford f150 5.4 is hot in the sun it misses like water in fuel BUT
when its cool outside at night but engine is operating temp it runs fine any ideas

 

I would first clean the MAF with the proper cleaner and take it from there.

 

Might have moisture around the plugs. I have had moisture cause a miss when cold and also had it cause when hot. Guessing it flashed the moisture up into the wire??? Either way - replacing the coil boots was probably my best investment. Spent a lot of effort working out a miss that new boots cured and kept cured.
