The internet speed has been cut back and service is real bad including the phone..Some people lose there phone service while talking with others

Since I am almost totally ignorant about that deal. I guess Verizon does not have a land line presence any more up there?

ME,NH,VT is all fairpoint now..
Only thing Verizon does do is wireless up here...

That is what I thought. I knew Verizon sold its land lines but I wasn't sure how much got sold.
