took some pics of the finer rides there. didn't seem to be as many as last year, and the cops were out like flies so there wasn't much playing going on...
it was a decent night. that maurauder is an awesome car. takes the cake for me. roots-style supercharged 4v 4.6L... doesn't get much better than that!!

There are a couple of Marauders around here and although I like them, I always felt Ford missed the boat, by not making the 5.4 liter V8 available in the Crown Vic/Mercury RWD platform.
I know the Marauder had the hotted up 4.6, but think what a 5.4 or a 6.8 V10 would do. eez....6.8 V10...souped up.....that would almost be too much, but as they used to say, too much , is just right.
It almost seemed that after GM cut the rwd Caprice with the 5.7 LT1, Ford felt that the competition had vanished (it did, I suppose) and then stopped a lot of development on this RWD platform.
My buddy has a '92 Crown Vic and it's a great car, nice, large enough for a big guy, power is good, mileage ain't bad, but it could of gone farther with a developed 5.4 V8.
It was the only game in town, for a number of years with a large sedan, rwd, V8.
The 5.4 could of opened up the sport sedan market and the trailer towing for those who want a big, powerful rwd car.
Too late now, with fuel prices the way they are.
BTW, that pix of the '67 Mustang fastback, white with blue stripes, in the IH picture looks nice. Any details on that one?
When that Marauder came out I thought it was sinister looking but Chrysler redefined the term when they made the 300M. In black, with the hemi, its all the Marauder should/could have been!
