?Location of keyless factory code 2005 F-150 FX4.
I am sure this has come up many times, but I can not find in these forums a discussion relating the 2005 F-150. I'm looking for the location of the computer module that is supposed to have the Factory code 'written' or labeled on it. I have the owner's manual and that is all it says (besides going to the dealer $100 or $45 depending on the dealer). I asked for the location of the computer module and was vaguely told that it was 'way up under the dash and you'll have to take apart things to find it'.
I will examine under the dash tonight for any reasonable 5 digit code on something that looks like a computer to see what I can find.
thanks

Factory Code or ECM location
But the dealer I bought it from is not a Ford Dealer, so they won't/can't help. The truck was purchased used, so I only received what they had, 1 key fob and 2 keys and no Factory number for key pad entry system.
The dealer says the computer is located behind the radio, somewhere under the dash. But it seems Ford would have placed the sticker somewhere a little less troublesome to get to (other than using the Ford computer system to read the code).
Most of the other posts seem to imply the code is hidden somewhere behind a panel, I do not know if that is where their computer is, or if the number is just on sticker stuck to a piece of sheet metal.

They Can Help If They Want Too. We Have Other Dealer Bring In Cars So We Can Make Them Keys And Other Thing. Since The Deal Is Done, It Is Too Late. I Was Just Stating That People Should Get These Things When Buying A Car Or Truck. Heys Cost $25, $40 Program, $40 Key Fob. I Am Just Say Those Cost More Than That Free Hat And Oils Change

found code.
I found the code (with some help from my neighbor). It is behind the plastic trim that is in the rear corner on the driver's side of the cab. Down near the floor. Remove the door seal and pull the plastic trim away from the truck sheet metal. You might have to take off some more nearby trim to see better. With a flash light I could see the 5 digits, they were even right side up when looking from the outside. The numbers were on the right side (towards the tail gate) about in the middle of the computer. The computer has the word Siemans on it. The computer is the "Body Control computer" or words similar. The neighbor said that the location of this computer is similar for other truck of this year. In the 'B' pillar for Quad Cabs, something like that.
For those with regular cabs, if this helps. Find the plastic trim that covers the spare tire jack and lug wrench (on the passenger side) in that same place except on the Driver's side is where the computer is.
Saved $45 to $100. The dealer told me the computer was behind the radio, I looked (removing the bezel and the radio) nothing but air....Which I think was he was full of.... If a 20 year old kid can find it why couldn't Ford!
Hope this helps others out there. Sorry no pics was done and put back together before I thought about the camera.
