There is a company that does install working tandem rear ends.
They also produce 6x6 configurations and modify the beds.

I love how they got into the specifics of the build in the auction... real good way to sell the thing.

Ditto...I am assuming there was a point to building that "thing"; other than showing off Canadian ingenuity.

That's a weird gizmo. But I'm not sure any benefits from the second axle would be realized, because the frame didn't get beefed up so the load capacity doesn't change, and since you now have two drive axles all your diffs have to be open, so you don't actually gain any traciton when you would actually need it. You couldn't lock any pair of wheels together and still be able to turn. Besides, with a through pinion axle (like a semi) you have all your power going through something that is inside the diff, not something bolted onto it and sticking 18 inches up.

And the eBay truck is lowered. Which again defeats any benefits of haivng a beefed up tow rig. Worthless.

We may know of the same truck. A guy who my best bud's dad worked with built one out of a early 90's f250. It had dual axles, but SRW's When it was done, it was painted Zebra stripes.... He sold it awhile back and I see it running around every now and again, but the bed is all screwed up now and its been repainted
