Evening everyone.
Some agressive tires makes your truck look even better Sherwin. Also, what rpm does your Explorer turn while running down the highway at 100 km/h? I'm quite happy with the 23-24 mpg average ours gets with the Duratracs on it running 110-115 down the highway.
Morris, congrats on the new Escape.
I can't say I am on the ecoboost bandwagon. I know they have lots of power and can get good fuel mileage but I'd much rather have a V8 instead. That being said, my 2010 F150 only got 15mpg stock and 18 doing 110 with an intake, programmer and exhaust and then dropped back down to 15 at 100 with the 6" lift and 35's I put on it.
Grant, you should hand calculate your fuel mileage. I've heard of those lie-o-meters being as much as 3mpg off. If you can get 24 at 115 in your truck, don't let it go! It'll be hard to find another one that gets that good of mileage.
John, the hood looks awesome!
Oh and one more thing. I'm in the process of becoming the only dealer in Manitoba for Opti Lube, which is a really good diesel fuel additive. I will also be serving the eastern side of Saskatchewan. If anyone is interested in trying some out in their diesel vehicles, let me know

I think it`s a win win situation, we got a vehicle that easy to get in and out of plus the daughter in law got another new Ford. She leases them and it`s about her 6 new Ford.
I`ve always been a V8 guy as well Randy, that`s why I choose the 5.0 over the Ecoboost in my F150.
I always hand calculate my mileage too, a friend has an 01 F250/7.3 and it used to show less than what he was actually getting but I know most are the opposite showing better mileage than what the actual is.
I use additives in my diesel gravel trucks for lubrication since sulphur was eliminated.

Morning boys... Its Saturday, and still I awake at 4am to get my day started...dedication, determination, and a will to conquer!!
My ecoboost work truck is getting 14-15 mpg combined driving. I really don't care what it gets lol...not my expense this time around. I do love the explosive power that comes from the twin turbos, but it lacks the sweet sound of a v8, and I couldn't imagine what that setup will cost to replace once warranty has ran out.
Have a great weekend guys!!

Morning fellas... Long weekend makes me happy Curtis. I was ready for one. Its supposed to be a nice one with reasonable temps, not extreme heat or rain, as long as that holds through I'll be a happy man
Hauled my 2 old tractors to the auction yesterday. Learning that I am not a collector of things that are essentially useless to me, nor do I have time or patience to "tinker". Perhaps at a different point in life. Right now I just have time for necessary things. I suppose if I quit the bodybuilding scene, I would have more free time, but I enjoy it so much and it is a means to an end.
Randy, forgot to answer your question about rpm. I think its right around 2k @ 120km/hr. Sometimes when passing I wish the 3.5 v6 had more grunt, but its really not that bad.
Nice of you to get to see some other FTE'ers Gerry!! Hope you have a good visit.
Morris, I spent Friday evening and yesterday morning mowing grass also. I think I'll be pasturing a few more animals next year to take care of more of the grass. They can benefit from eating the grass, We can benefit from eating them... It a win/win.
