Lots of frost on the pumpkin this morning but no rain or snow.
Bummer on the Jets, if they can pull it off 4 straight would be great!
I haven`t noticed anything new from SStans either.

Morning boys. Hump day already. Time is sure flying. There was a fiction book years ago about time acceleration. A story something to the effect that as time passed, it also increased in speed...so a second was no longer a full second, minute ended up passing quicker, and so on. I think its become a reality.

Seen a video of the huge semi pile of in Wyoming from a couple weeks ago. Sad to hear of some lives lost in the accident, but what makes me incredibly angry is the comments of truck drivers under the video. Grant, I would like to hear your input on it as you are in the industry. The comments being made were that if "stupid overly cautious motorists weren't on the highways doing 70-80km/h, the accident wouldn't have happened." The commenter goes on to say how he passed through the same area in the same white out conditions doing 100km/h without a hitch.

To my knowledge, posted speed limits are set for ideal conditions. They are not the mandatory speed for all conditions, they are the MAXIMUM speed for PERFECT conditions. These guys pushing 50+ tonnes down the highways feeling invincible seem to forget they sometimes drive a passenger vehicle as well. Do they ever stop to think that it could be their wife and kids or other loved ones in the vehicles that they're running down? I realize that the highways are their income, but guess what? Its equally as important in everyone elses life too. Myself and others slowing down and driving with caution because road conditions are poor is an act of self preservation and consideration for other drivers. I have an uncle who used to drive long haul from New Brunswick for AYR trucking. His attitude was typical trucker attitude, until he changed careers and drove a snow plow for a few years. Suddenly there was an increased level of caution, and an awareness of the dangers of the highway.

Every time I've driven across Canada there is always a couple of big rigs that get me steaming mad. Northern Ontario is the worst, I'm sure John and Gerry can agree to that. There has been a few times where I've thought about chasing a driver to their truck stop after they've been kissing my bumper for a few miles before passing. Take care out there guys...

Rant Off.

Sun is shining, have a great day guys!!!

Happy Hump Day mornin'all. Sherm; I've seen 2 videos. There were 2 accicents within a week on that same stretch of highway. The 1st video actually show the trucks driving into the pile up. The 4 wheelers were the one's slowing down. It was unbelievable how fast the big trucks were driving into the wreck. You'd think they could have been warned via CB radio, but by the video, it happened so fast. The big rig's in my opinion were driving too fast for the conditions.

Here's a couple video's. Have a great day guy's.
