Leaf Springs F250 SD

I have a question about leaf springs. I have a 2000 ford f250 diesel SD Crew Cab Short Bed, I broke my rear leafs and am looking to replace them.

The question I have is can you take the leafs off an f350 dually and put them on my 250?

What problems can I have with the install? from the numbers I got here they look like they are the same size except the thickness.

Rear Leaf 250/350

6830lb 6(leaves) 3.86(thickness @ pad) 58.1"(lenght) 3.00"(width) 320/670/1209(deflection lbs/sq") 3603(rating@pad lbs/spring)

Rear leaf DRW
8250lb 6(leaves) 3.95(thickness @ pad) 58.1"(lenght) 3.00"(width) 350/730/1270(deflection lbs/sq") 4187(rating@pad lbs/spring)

Also how much higher will the rear of the truck sit saying that I keep the 2inch blocks that come with the f 250 , not the 4inch blocks on the F350?

Is it worth it or should I look at after market leafs?
If after market is the way to go what type of leafs does everyone recommend?
I travel a lot of dirt/washboard roads and I also tow a 12000lbs 5th wheel trailer

Sorry if this is a repost i tried to search for something like it but couldn't find any thing

Thanks Chad

Welcome to FTE. I swapped some 350 springs on a 99 250 years ago. I don't remember all the part numbers, or which ones I used, but I did use the 250 blocks.

I'd be more inclined to visit your local spring shop. Talk to them and they can build you a set of springs that fits your needs. Remember stiffer springs means a rougher ride. If you're looking for capacity think about overload springs to keep the ride softer.
