Yep Randy, exactly how I feel about it... My dad has a soft spot for old John Deere tractors (he has two late 40's models he's restored), but he was never a farmer. I suppose it's ok for someone like me who is clueless about fire trucks to take one on as a project.

But, given my lack of experience, I might do better taking on a smaller project... like maybe a lawn mower!

Hey Dallas, have you had a chance to look at or ride any of the newer Sportsters? Been thinking about one of those since they are fairly affordable compared to some of the other Harleys. I sold my 2004 Fatboy, mainly because it was no fun making payments on something I didn't get to use much... but, my wife is less than thrilled with motorcycles "you'll end up crippled or kill yourself and leave me a widow"...

I think I got spoiled with the Fatboy, however, don't know if I'd want anything else. The line was too long the last time the dealer did a demo-day so I've never gotten to ride a Sporty.

I have a plan. First, buy the firetruck. Next, you'll have to move back down here. Then, we make it a chapter project!! Oh, sure, you'll have to quit your great job, and move back here, where you don't want to, but let's not cloud the issue with facts!!

Ha! And I'm sure your wife won't mind if I park the fire truck in your driveway and live in your basement... I'll be unemployed and divorced, but I'm pretty easy to get along with and I don't eat too much... does that bar in your rec room have a beer tap?

Hey Pat, you'll have to pm me your address...

Oh, and I'll need a small allowance till I get back on my feet.

Are you taking your boat on vacation with you next week? I'll be happy to keep an eye on it for you, just leave the superduty in case I need to, um, tow the boat to higher ground (we've had a lot of rain lately, you know).
