The big three will have to wait at least until game 7 for the trophy. The Lakers can only play better and they are due for a good game.

I used to like the NBA finals years ago. Now I just think that there are too many teams involved now in the present format. The playoffs start at the end of March beginning of April and now it is the middle of June. Hard to keep interest that long unless there is an upset along the way.

I'd prefer if the NBA would go to just the top 4 in each conferance versus the top 8 now, or go back to the best of 5 series for the first couple of rounds.

But...there are still only two teams in the finals!!!

I know what you mean...it does seem like things go on forever. It's all about the money...the more games they play...the more money the teams and the league make.

I have to agree with you...my Athol friend...I don't want to see this series go seven...!!! It's going to be tough if Perkins is not clogging the middle...the Celts have to prevent LA from jumping out to the leads they have the last two games!!!

That being said...I think the Celtics will be able to use the champagne that was left over from the Patriots Super Bowl victory this past February...oh...just a second...oops...the Patriots didn't win the Super Bowl...did they???

I honestly do not care about the NBA in any way. I don't even like basketball. However, I'd rather see Boston win. And no, I haven't watched a single full game since Jordan played in Chicago.

I have a hard time watching gang-ball. Unfortunately, that is filtering down to the collegiate and secondary levels also.

I usually don't care. Stopped watching back in the late 80's. Just a bunch of primadonas in my opinion.
But I must admit, I'm a bit interested in this series. The Celtics are playing their hearts out tonight. They deserve this win.

I also feel that when Jordan left Chicago the "magic" left the game. I have watched some with the Nuggets getting back into the playoffs but it just isn't the same as back in the day with the Bulls, Pistons, Boston and LA beating on each other with all those hall of fame players. Even when Jordan came back with the Bullets (No PC wizards crap here) it just wasn't the same.
