Question Shock mounting

I'm getting ready to add a retro-fit shock kit to our 5th wheel, it has tandem axles. The question is in which direction do I install them-top of shock towards the center of the trailer-or tops pointing one forward and the rear one towards the back?? The instructions for the kit says to install them with the tops towards the single pivot point of the spring, but the old mount is towards the 'rocker' on the spring (center) assembly.

I've installed shocks on several trailers and have bought a couple of trailers with factory installed shocks. The shocks have always tilted towards the center spring rocker.

Thank you-- Thats kinda what I thought and wanted to make sure. The kit arrives Wed and I'll be getting the shocks on Thurs, they sure smooth the ride and keep thing from bounceing around on the inside.
Had the on our first 5er.
