2004 SD Rear Rotor Removal
How do you remove the rear rotors on the F250? Do you just beat them off or is there a clip or bolt holding them on? Also, how do you get the pads out of the clips? Do you beat them off too? 4x4 with ABS discs. The fronts came off easy. Rotor is gone so no harm in hurting it. Thanks in advance.

you have to contend with the parking brake assembly and if there seized good luck. I usually use a screw driver to pry off the pads if they are stuck on rotor. Just did brake job last weekend replaced front/rear rotors, front calipers. Had to adjust the rear drivers side parking brake to get the rotor off. Good Luck

This may seem like silly advice, but make sure your parking brake isn't applied. You may need to give them a tap with a hammer to loosen them up. I put a light layer of grease between the new rotor and the axle facing and between the facing surface between the rotor and the wheel, particularly if they're alloys.

The link Glenn posted covers it pretty well.
As mentioned, make sure the parking brake is off, spray around the hub with PB blaster and just smack the backside of the rotor to knock it loose. It rusts onto the hub pretty good. I do it with the truck on stands and in neutral so I can rotate it as I hit the back of the rotor.
A good deadblow or a mini sledge will do the job. I used a mini sledge since I was tossing my rotors.
