OK i know this is strange topic but has any ones horn broke where only 1 of the 2 are working, now it sounds like a ford escort!!!! any one replace theres, with a better or louder one, need to replace, want some thing loud something that hey thats a truck coming and are they easy to replace? thanks!

 

Yes, it happened with my 01, filled with water, as for replacements you really just have to get out there and find one you like.

 

Yup, same thing happened in my '01 Expy. One got water in it and fouled out. I went through two replacements before I relocated the horns up higher on the chassis.

 

I have added 2 sets of Hella Spuertone horns (118dB each set, part # HL851115) behind the grill. They are very LOUD and directional. It will get the other driver's attention for sure.

 

Get yourself one of those train horn kits. They come with the small air tank, electric compressor (quiet one) and 2 horns. You want people to pay attention, fire those babies off and everyone in a 1-square mile radius will brace for impact, or floor it. Far, far louder than a semi.
