97 Crewcab MPG's

I recently bought a 97 Crewcab longbed automatic 2wd F350 with 141.000 miles. I just monitored my first tank of diesel and it ran around 13.5 mpg. I did tow a 5th wheel on that tank, but only for about 5 miles. Is this what I can expect for this size truck?
I have no idea what the gears are, the truck is bone stock. I've replaced the air filter with the BIG Napa filter, and I'm driving as much as possible under 2000 RPM

have not checked those. The truck has been mine for only a couple of weeks. I need to get it fully serviced so I can keep track of service miles and dates.

Always when you buy or even are looking at these trucks check out the dipstick, blowby, fuel filter, air filter coolant excetera to see if anything is wrong with the truck.

Change it all so that you can keep an eye on things.
