Yeah, same here (Tomball to Galleria and back every day).

But I'd guess that it's probably being stripped. I can't believe any idiot would steal that and try to drive it around.

But I'm glancing out the window every so often at the traffic on the loop. Million to one, but who knows?

Man that sucks. Hope you guys can catch the turd. I would definitely be faxing pics to all border crossing stations to keep them on a lookout cause it seems like they are always heading to Mexico.

UPDATE 1700 5/21/08

Rockin' Good News! Truck has been found! It's in Houston at a Salvage yard near Almeda Genoa and North Freeway.

David doesn't know what shape it is in. He's on his way to the yard to see if he can see it as they closed at 4:30.

Will know more tonight after he calls.

David wants me to pass on his sincere thanks to everyone for spreading the word so quickly and their concern.

Latest update.

He was able to see the truck in the yard from the street. Nothing appears to have been removed from the exterior. Doesn't know what the interior looks like yet. He's meeting the adjuster in the morning to look it over and will call with a final report.

Sounds like it may have been just some idiots going for a joyride. Doesn't appear to be a chop shop job. Hopefully he's just missing some stereo and video equipment and can move forward.

He had full coverage also so he should be OK on that front also. Hopefully he doesn't have to go through what Bearhunter did when his truck went missing.

Sounds like your buddy will be taking some advice from you now. Makes you wonder if the salvage yard is a chop shop...

Hello all, this is my first post . Bear Hunter, glad to hear the good news about your buddy's truck. My '04 F250 was stolen last Friday at HEB in Katy, I am still sick in my stomach!

Bear Hunter didn't you have a rather large and expensive looking truck stolen from you not too long ago?? Seems odd.

Bearhunter. When y'all get a chance to actually see the truck, I would be interested in know how they got it...i.e., what they did to get in, and start it and all that stuff. I know the trucks are easy enough to break into, but maybe we can learn some more about what to do to help prevent ours from being next. Same with you Houstonkid if you get yours back.

They punched the ignition out and took the sterio out. That is what the police told him. He is supposed to be going over at 9am his time.
