05 4.6 air box questions
Ok, I’m working on my 05 Screw w/4.6. I’ve got 4 main parts to the air box system; 1) the tube from the inner fender to the cone 2) the outer housing which holds the air filter 3) the plate between the outer housing and 4) inner housing. What is the purpose of the plate? If I had installed a cai there would be no plate. Does the air filter have to seal against that plate to seal the system? If I remove the plate will it increase air flow into the throttle body? Should I NOT remove the plate?
