>A Yank is a person from New England who talk like they never
>had grammar school and add and S to the end of words that
>don't need to be plural or whatever they are tring to
>accomplish with it. One such Yank used the phrase, "Yous
>guys." or was it "Yuse guys?" Of course "Texas is a whole
>other country," so you'll find strange stuff like that here
>too, such as how we call all soft drinks "coke" and if you
>say "pop" you're bound to be laughed at.
Growing up in New England I would have to differ. That would be those fine folks from New York and New Jersey.

Alright fellow Americans-
I hope that this North v. South thing can be put behind us. I have been to the following states Alaska (born & raised), Hawaii, Washington State, California, Nevada, Colorado, Idaho, Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota (college), Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, District of Colombia, Kentucky, Arizona, Montana, and last but not least New Jersey. All of this in the 22 years that I have been alive. I have yet to go to the South although I would love to go there. Anyways this is a great country and I am sure that any "northerner" or "southerner" would give his/her life to this great country! Lets not bicker amongst us about the past, but unite for the future

Hah!
Y'all is plural.
ALL Y'all is even more plural...
If a bunch of folks are at my house arguin' over football, I might say "Y'all need to chill out."
If they start bringin' all of their friends into it to settle it at the OK CORRAL - I would say "ALL Y'all need to chill out!"
It's pretty simple, since it's based on the words YOU ALL.
-And of course if someone took the last beer in the fridge it would be "Y'ALL SUCKERS need to bring your own..."
>=o)
