I look forward to seeing both of your trucks. I will say, that 69 of yours is beautiful! I'm still wrestling with the question of what to do with my 67. I hate to get rid of it. I love that body style. But, I really, really want a Fairlane. Decisions, decisions!

 

WOW! this thread got off to a roaring start! haven't been on here for a few days, how's everybody doing?? i swear to god it was snowing for about a half an hour in G.I. tonight, this really sucks for only a few days into may!!!!

in other news, the 81 is finally buttoned back up and is as good as new...or well, as good as it ever was i guess lol

OMG i just got done reading all of that!!!! while i cannot refute the fact that my rear end is nice and lubbed up (80w-90 as a matter of fact) i still can't seems to walk quite right after all the parts i paid for it...even at employee pricing (Advance Auto Parts, Keep the Wheels Turning...corporate *******s) ...just keep in mind, u'all gotta get up pretty early in the late afternoon to get one by me, i'll get even someday, somehow lol...

oooo just end of semester crunch, plus dealing w/ the dudes in charge of my sponsorship at kittypillar b/c i'm not graduating on time...intense negotiations, let me tell u...but i finally got some free time tonight after work so i thought i'd make the best of it lol

 

Well, I'm stuck here at work again. Hey, do you ever go to the cruise night in Kearney? I'm gonna tow the 68 mustang out there. I'm pretty sure Rob and Jake are going , and I think Anthony (iwillflybyu) said he was going. George was gracious enough to invite us out to his place for his bbq. Are you going?

 

i've never been to it, but it does sound like fun...hopefully i've got something drive by then...would like to take the 81, but she's not too easy on the eyes...perhaps if i get it tricked out by then

July 19th. If nothing else, just go to check out the iron. We are going on Friday, get to the hotel, maybe cruise friday night. I guess there is a big car show on saturday (I need to recheck the events thread to see what George wrote). Then the cruise saturday night. Ought to be a good time. I'll be at Georges house saturday night. Hang out there for a while, then maybe cruise for a bit. Kind of play it by ear. I know Rob goes,and they just put out some lawn chairs and check out the cars.

 

O, ok, i c. this sounds like something i could do...would be a nice get away from work this summer! hopefully i can get the 81 to the point i want her to be at...the flatbed would work nice for setting up lawn chairs and koolers!

 

There go ya'! I was thinking maybe getting whoever showed up to meet at the car show. Be nice to have some pics of some of us to put together.

I will put up a picture of the flyer for cruise night when it comes out. I do know there will be a swap meet, show and shine, car show and cruising if you want or watching plus the BBQ at the Quinn's. If your cruising on Friday I will have both my 69 F100, 53 Convertible and Vette out that night. Pat - Post some pics of the Mustang so we know what to look for. I will post some pics of my Vett and the convertible so you guys that are here Friday know its me if you see me. Maybe when it gets closer we can start a thread that we can put pictures of our cruisers so that we can recognize each other. Cruise Night for me is the weekend I plan for all year long.
