I built my garage 4 years ago and made it big enough to fit all of my rides. No matter how much room you have you always want more.

I just fit in mine. 1 1/2" in front, 2" in the rear without a receiver hitch, 2" on the top of the door. It is TIGHT! I bought a parking pad that has 2 humps on it and screwed it to the floor. I roll over the first hump and stop. All is good. The width is great thanks to a 19' wide garage door. My truck and my wifes Sorento fit just fine. As for the women throwing things in the garage.... not here. I use my garage as a shop when jobs require to have certain components custom built. The garage is all mine, including 200watt stereo system and a mini fridge with plenty of cold beverages. I can fit great at an angle.... now how do I tell the wife that her truck has to sleep outside so I can walk around mine?

My F-150 and the wifes CRV will fit but it is tight. A drivers side mirror for a F-150 is $112.50 plus shipping on Ebay.

XolieX, thanks for your service and God speed!

And for the "newer" garages, I have a 125 year old house in MA, and my truck won't fit in the "old" garage. Inside it's huge, 2 cars worth. But it won't clear the door height, and width of the truck is too wide. It will fit length-wise, but it does not good obviously. Now I have to keep her waxed up good due to bird poop and caterpillar droppings. Forget the stabbed tire I had, or the lunatics that come around my corner too fast and almost clip it every night.

i too have a tight fit 2 car garage & i need to close my driver side mirror its just that close, but it does leave enough room for the little lady's santa fe. & i get the lawn mower on the drivers side along the front wheel. its like sardines on my side, but were happy sardines & it keeps it clean & frost/dew free in the mornings.

Mine fits nice. 28X36 with dual 10X7 doors. Work Bench on each side of Garage, Riding Tractor and Gas Grill in the middle. Wife's Grand Caravan in Bay #2. The closest measurement is the clearance between garage door opener arm and truck roof (only a few inches to spare).
First year here in 2000, we had s-blazer, s10 project truck, olds calais, and chevy corsica, trihull boat and lawn tractor in there. Over the years we have acquired 'junk' to fill it up...... brp outty max, wedding cake pool steps, generator, 2 wheelbarrows, kids riding toys, etc. take up what space used to be available..... poor boat spends its days outside now.
I like my garage, I use it year round to park our vehicles. Door-to-Door salespeople go right by thinking nobody is home b/c truck and van are in garage. Good thing, because the redheaded wife works overnights at PD and I cannot recommend waking her before ample rest

My regular cab fits in length wise with a couple of feet to spare but I must fold the mirrors in to get in the single width door.

I use the tennis ball gauge. But I cant leave the hitch on and close the garage door. The salesman told me that I got a good buy on my truck because it is a longbed, and nobody can get them in the newer houses out here. prob some day our garages will only be 8' long for one of those battery cars.

It is very tight fit for these trucks to fit in a 20ft garage. Not much room to walk around it, but should be ok.

We "test fit" the screw yesterday. It is tight, but will fit. My house is 2 years old and we had an 8 ft garage door installed so my E250 high top conversion will fit, when we want it to.....now if I can just get both of them in and take a pic!

the main thing i hate is, the garage is the property of the man of the marriage, however the wife still parks her dam car inside the garage and our poor trucks sit outside in the cold!

what the hell is up with that?

I have a trailer to haul today. The trailer and Bronco slept inside the garage...my truck stayed attached to the trailer chain, grazing with its limited reach on the hard cold gravel below. *sniffle* it's so sad.. I want a garage that can hold my truck and trailer attached!

Have the 5.5ft bed on the Screw.

At the last house, my truck would fit with about a foot in front & another foot in back. Side to side was okay, even with the wifes car. Never had to fold the mirrors in.

Now in the new house, there's tons of room front/back. I back the truck into a certain spot, leaving about 3-4ft in back (so I don't hit the mower) and 2-3ft in front. Of course the wifes Altima has more than enough room front/back. Side to side is slightly tighter than the old house, so I do fold in the drivers mirror and pull as close to the wall as possible, with still being able to exit the driver side.
