I bought a sterling axle that turned out to be a single rear wheel. the frame on those is wider so i had to have the perches moved in to fit mine, only to find out the guy i bought it from screwed me. he didnt set it up right and now i have to get another axle.

Changed the transmission filter last night. Pain in the *** to get to the back two bolts on the AOD, but at least the filter came out nice and easy. Almost as messy as when I changed it on the Monte Carlo.

Now hopefully I'll get to take it out on the interstate later and see if it's solved my transmission noise issue.

Nice dude. I drove 5 hours to San Diego yesterday after 8 hours of work (finally found a job driving forklifts at a cold storage warehouse) to bring Opie up to where I'm living now. Ended up having to do a little work on him before we hit the road, but once we got started it went pretty well... for 30 miles. Then the brand new 3G alternator stopped charging the battery and I lost power on the side of the 15N. Tried jumping it and couldn't get it started. Now it's sitting somewhere in Murrietta, CA by itself and I don't have another day off until next weekend. Nice. Opie's name is now officially "The Fail-Bus".
