I know, I figured they were concerned with CFM which I think the tank would help with. Guess I was tired when I made that post...

I got a few adapters for my OBA system sweated up, made the mounts for the tank and am now working on mounts for the intake, oiler, separator, air horn valve, and quick couplers...

Why not save up a little metal and take it to the recyclers for $$? I took a load of some assorted stuff weighing in at about 400 lbs total (some steel, aluminum, copper wire) and got $103 on monday. Now I'm spending that on my truck's brakes!

I did that when I replaced the springs on the '94. I didn't get anywhere near that much for them. And the two drums don't weigh anything like as much as the two springs did.

Yeah, you pretty much have to save a little bit of stuff up to make it worthwhile. I just can't stand paying to put that stuff in the dump (you have to pay to dump trash where I am...).

Here, all that sort of stuff goes into recycling -- which is free to take to the dump. Trash, on the other hand, costs.

Electronics cost. Appliances cost. Tires cost. Yard waste costs. Cardboard, plastics, bicycles, usable paint, other household hazmat and, as I implied, scrap metal are free to take to the dump and leave there.

I have a pick-up box trailer which I throw all my scrap iron into. When it gets full I'll take it to the recyclers and might get $400 out of the load, problem is they keep trying to scar the trailer as well. Guess that's what happens when you use a dodge box on a homemade frame.
Bought a trailer plug and brake controller for the '94 tonight. also got a new battery for the '88 bronco.

There's no need for flange gaskets if the exhaust is in good shape..

I never had issues with any of my shorties on my trucks.. Most issue I had was the junk gaskets they sent with em..

installed the tail light on the 02 F250. Did a bunch of work on the bike and started thinking about painting my flares black on my 88 F150 with rattle can as it is cheap enough and it will get rid of the darn red.

I used Percy's aluminum gaskets on an all new exhaust. The issue was the ball of the header was smaller than the collector on the y-pipe. Bassani, the manufacture of the y-pipe, knows of this issue and offers "flange rings" to fix it. They are NOT gaskets. They simple go between the ball and collector to essentially make the ball larger allowing them to seal correctly. Here is what they look like:

With that siad, even after another torquing of the header bolts AND collector bolts, I still have a tick. I feel I can rule out the collectors. The passenger side is definately sealed and the driver side seems to be well sealed as well. Issue is, my block and heads are painted black so seeing soot marks of an exhaust leak isn't going to happen. I have spent the last 30 minutes with the truck running while running a section of hose over every inch of the headers and collectors trying to hear for a leak but cannot find one. Does anyone know of a good way to find exhaust leaks? I'm starting to go a little insane...

I think I'm going to try soap all over the headers and collectors, then my shop vac on the blower setting up the tail pipe. I have read that works well. If it doesn't, I will give Seafoam a try.
