What have you done to your truck today?
Pulled intake plenum off and sealed passengers side valve cover.. Cleaned TB new gasket for throttle body and intake plenum.. Gave er a run down the highway.. Now the engine leaks 0 oil!!!!.. Dry as a bone.. But now I have a high idle.. 1000-1200 rpm.. I started to replace vacuum lines .. Only finished a couple.. There's the days work.. Gave er a run down the highway with super gas to clean some junk and hesitation out
I was finally able to get some time to cut the old rusted gas tank straps off and drop the old tank which has a nice rust hole. Pulled out all the old fuel lines, tanks selector switch, filter, and high pressure pump off the frame rail. Got the sending unit out and took off the low pressure pump. Got the sending unit in the new tank and have it ready to go back in the truck as sson as i get some new tank straps. Then i can run all new lines to the pump and then up to the carb.
finished installing my 500 watt rms and 1200 watt peak power sound system, even without my capacitor installed (forgot the ground cable for it UGHH) the stock 2g alternator handles it fine, except when i play a constant bass song turned up loud while i am idling, or anytime i have it on and the headlights on and am stopped in gear, pics to come
While I am quite strong, I'm not quite strong enough to pick up a car and set it in the truck bed. It would probably fit, though.
I need the 4x4 capability to get in and out of my driveway when it rains, and the new/old truck doesn't have it.

well this is what I spend my sunday doing. its my First attempt (so be kind ) at repairing a rust out its not prefect but it looks a lot better than the rust lol.
I did the driver side not quite finished but just to get to this part it took all day now I know why body shops charge so much lol.
this is what it looked like before well close to it anyway this is the passenger side I did the driver side which was the worst side. forgot to take before pics

Did you cut out the bad stuff and replace it with fresh metal? You know if you just bondo'd it, it will come back through. Just Sayin.
As long as you are not expecting it to last a long time or be show quality. I am learning to do my own body work on my truck too. I do not want show quality, but I do want it to last a real long time. I have found that the better quality of work you do, the less you have to go behind yourself and fix... again and again. Good luck.
I tried to fix the air dam or whatever you call it (probably an air dammit), that is below the front bumper. I drove it through some high snow last year and the corners busted off the fasteners. I though they were the plastic ones the just snap into place and it would be an easy job. WRONG!
I found out they were some kind of heavy duty rivets and they would not budge. What bright SOB designed this? Some of the holes in the dam are elongated or torn and there is no way to fix this other than drilling them out. @#%!. What a bunch of BS. I ending up zip tying the corners and had a beer to cool me down.
I was thinking to fix the broken tail pipe hanger as well but nope. It's @%#! riveted too. *********s! I remembered that there were reasons I didn't want to own another Ford truck after I owned my 1985 a few years after buying it new.

I got everything to keep me busy this weekend. If this all goes easy I will try to do the headers, y-pipe and cat this weekend as well.
Water pump, thermostat, gasket and coolant. No more leaking water pump hopefully.
Figured while I was working I would change the oil, filter, spark plugs and the external trans filter.
