Thanks Bigdogk9. My truck only has 12,000 Km so far. I am thinking of changing it to Champion 7989 sometime next year to avoid the breakage problem. I am a professional landscaper and don't know any tech. I guess I have to pay the retail price.

F-150 spark plugs breaking

My truck is at the dealer now. They want $2500 b/c they broke 7 of 8 attempting to remove them and have to pull the heads. I was just checking Autolite and they have a full metal plug too and it's only $10. I'm ordering them today!

I have an 08 harley davidson 5.4L F-150 AWD. Does anyone know what plugs are in the 08's? Are they standard (same) in all 5.4L? That sounds like a big PIA that the plugs are breaking off when changing.

The drivers side of the engine has a build date stuck on the valve cover. If it's after October of 07, then you have the new heads and normal plugs. I pulled one of mine when I heard that, and was bored. Came right out (because they're new) and it looked like a longer version of the one in my wife's Escape.
