Will a 76 Jaguar Front Sway Bar Fit....

I found a 1976 Jaguar XJS IFS with the front sway bar after I had purchased a series 3 1985 IFS from a XJ6. I have read hear on the forum that the XJS has a more desireable front sway bar. If I pull it, will it fit my series 3 IFS from the 85 XJ6? I was hoping they were interchangeable between the series as well as the year differences. Need some technical help from the Jag experts. Thanks.

If you have the measurements I can go out back and measure my sway off the 86 Jag I raped for parts

There should not be a difference in the swaybar/swaybar mounting to my knowledge. Take your calipers to check diameter. Mine is 3/4" which was out of an early series 2 xj. I think that with our relatively top heavy trucks (compared to the Jag doner car) more would be better. I know that in aftermarket ($150) they are available in 1" and 1 1/8". I plan to run mine with the stock 3/4 " bar and then decide if I want/need a bigger bar. The xjs bar should be 7/8" diameter.
