So I'm browsing my LMC catalog and notice part number 48-2580 a bench seat rebuilding kit. Comes with a 24"x60" foam sheet and same size reinforcement material, hog ring pliers, hog rings, and 2 steel rods. Is this worth it for $35 or would I be better off getting a different seat? Mine's pretty worn out.

What normally gives out is the metal springs that sits below the gunny sack mat. So you will need those to do it right.

 

So basically I'm better off getting a whole different seat?

Yes, you got it. The springs are not hard to replace, and they may even carry them. They are not very expensive. If you want to keep it original, it's your best choice. If you got that way, replace all of them so they have the same compression rate.
