So I didn't know if steering shafts needed any attention or not, since nothing was in the kit.
Thanks!!

You can make up the difference by loosening the bolts below the dash that hold your steering column up and adjusting the column inward, poking more column out of your firewall, hence moving your wheel closer to the dash. Then lock the bolts back down to hold your column there. That's for a late 70s truck though.

There's no such thing as "just a 3" body lift".
A one inch body lift is crap much less 3".
There are very few reasons They are acceptable and for a engine swap or something of that sort is about the only good reason, and it still must be done properly.
Takeing the bolt out of the steering for extra length is not proper.

I'm not sure everyone is seeing what he's saying. There are 4 slotted holes in dash where the column is bolted in. They're there for adjustments, I don't see any problem with it. In fact I think the whole safety issue with body lifts is blown way out of proportion. That said, they still bring the **** and I'd never run one unless I absolutely had to.

I didn’t remove any bolts ?
I’m curious if anyone else has a late 70s F250 with a body lift and if they have had a similar experience or not. I agree with safety and adjusting the column on its adjustment bracket didn’t sound to bad to me.

This thread is ALSO how to body lift and who better than someone who has actually done one, talk on it. I can’t imagine why there is less than a dozen people that post in here. Like STGFordCrazy04 says, everybody says do this, don’t do that…. Yet nobody can talk from experience and they barely have reasons why. The difference between doing and reading about it. I can take a picture of my body lift blocks…
Another benefit is reduced drive line angles over going all springs.
More room for that high rise intake.
