Ya think your right because the song is about his brother being in the army(dog tags and army shirt folded in his truck) and passing away (presumably killed in action overseas).

 

Yea that song is about his brother not his dad. He says "Brother sometimes, I drive your truck"

My truck was bought from a company paramount pictures was using, truck was used in the filming of Transformers 4. When I bought it they wouldn't tell me how much the truck was used in the movie or when and where. All they gave me was the paper work for use of the truck for a month of filming and the fake Illinois plates.

 

The new movie out in theaters right now Midnight Sun has a blue 1976 F-100/150 in it that is used extensively by the main character's boyfriend.
We see the interior that it has a C6 and a factory radio still.
