Oil in Y pipe going from turbo to heads

I found a coating of engine oil inside of the Y pipe and the inside of the turbo. I whipped the oil out and checked it again after running the engine, and it was oily again. Is this usual or is my turbo about to go out again?

I would say its probly your CCV Do the CCV mod and see if it helps. Otheres will probly be able to help more but thats where i would start. Do a search for "CCV mod" and you will find plenty of info on how to do it. its pretty easy.

Yep, the thin oil coat in the intake is ok. On these truck the crankcase was vented back into the intake. There is a doghouse on the driver side valve cover and a hose that plumbs in in before the turbo.

The reason why some do the CCV mod is because the oil may cause a boot to blow off during high boost situations.

Thanks guys. I was worried for a minute there. I had my turbo go out several years ago. The primary symptom was it was burning oil. Lots of oil. I would say my smoke screen rivaled D-Day. It burned 9 quarts by the time I pulled over.

Nope, All internally oiled. The CCV oil does nothing to help lube the compressor on the turbo...
